Gull and Seagull

The Gull and Sea Gull belong to the Laridae (Larus) species. These birds are seabirds found mainly close to the sea and large bodies of water (lakes, rivers, dams).
Gulls are considered pests due to their loud and aggressive behavior as well as problems associtaed with their droppings.
It is very common for gulls to attack duck & chicken farms. They peck and trample crops. Moreover, their droppings are a source of mess and disease, particularly in intesively raised animal operations. They are also a nuisance source in ports, at sporting events and a serious bird strike threat to aeroplanes.
